Friends Café

Disappointing coffee, overpriced menu. Such a shame because I live right around the corner. Every time I 'try again' I always walk away thinking, never again. Service is hit & miss, mostly miss. Food overpriced and less than satisfying.

Really convenient cafe near the Papamoa Plaza, was always one of our favourite meeting places for a coffee. This most recent visit I ordered the BLAT which was listed with crispy bacon. Have to say the bacon was not crispy but soft and cold and also with rind and too much bread. So was quite disappointed by that and had to have their amazing carrot cake to make up for it... Everyone else in our group had nice looking meals and the outdoor seating is great even though there is not much of a view.

This place never fails with breakfast, the ladies are really nice, polite and helpful. Food and coffee is on point . thanks Gana cafe.

Bit of a wait for coffee in the morning, but coffee is worth it.

Got a selection of treat's but they were only OK.. I know cookies are supposed to be sweet, but taste like they are 95% sugar. Too sickly sweet.

Went there for dinner last week with my Mother, she is a very fussy eater and yet she loved the food and ate all of her entrée and main meal, very unusual for her! The waitress was very entertaining and her service excellent. The portions were large and my Seafood Soup was the best I have ever had, very fresh seafood and a large bowl full. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, live in Auckland where Thai Restaurants are plentiful but this is one of the best Thai meals I have had for some time.
