Downtown Tauranga

Almost impossible to find a park anywhere! This place definitely needs some work as many shops have moved or closed down over the years. I think there is a lot of wasted potential here, it just needs a revamp! There are a few nice cafes, and plenty of restaurants along the strand where you can eat and enjoy the view.

Found it a nightmare to get a car park and shops are always closing down. What used to be a great little place to shop at is now horrible.

Parking is an absolute joke. Cant even get a park in the parking buildings, and the parking costs is way too expensive. Its not very family friendly, but I do see things changing all the time.

So sad to see so many shops closed or closing down. What once was a good days shopping is sadly lacking. I can't help thinking a rethink over parking is in order... especially in the car parking buildings, why only spaces at the very top?

Usually come here on the weekend because parking is free, but is best to come in the middle of the day because shops only open for a few hours on Sunday. Many good shops here, lots of gifty stores which is very cool. Good place to come for a visit for the day.
