- We have a working knowledge of the ground and soil in the Central North Island as well as specialised machinery that helps us get into limited access sites. Jensen Contracting & Drilling formed in 1998. We have 20+ years of experience in the civil and building industries. We are based near New Plymouth and we service the Central North Island. We have accumulated extensive knowledge of the many varied and different conditions throughout the Central North Island. We have the expertise and specialised machinery to work in a diverse range of ground and soil type conditions and locations. Jensen Contracting & Drilling are well experienced in general excavation and earth moving. We are experts in the construction of retaining walls big or small. Examples of these locations range from tunnel repairs, foundation and test drilling, anchor testing on power pylons, general grouting services, large tie-back retaining walls in remote locations and under bridge grouted soil nails on some of our State Highways Jensen Contracting & Drilling take Health & Safety seriously. As at 1 March 2016, Jensen Contracting & Drilling implemented a new system for the management of staff and contractors, to align ourselves with our clients requirements, and to ensure we are compliant with the current legislation. It also means we are actively engaged and involved with all who work with us to make a safer and productive work place. We have worked on many projects alongside some of New Zealands major Civil and Building Industry Contractors. We are a full member of the Civil Contractors Association of New Zealand.
