The Pepe Licensed Cafe & Restaurant

We stopped in here for a quick lunch on our road trip. They served us excellent coffee, and the beef burger was HUGE, and very yummy - definitely worth more than the $16 I paid. I’m impressed I managed to fit it all in but was too yummy to leave behind

Very busy place. Stopped here on our way to whitianga. Great ice drinks and very good selection in the cabinet. Chicken wrap and carrot cake highly recommended

Had breakfast here. Really nice, great service, great tea. Spacious cafe with lovely outside area looking out over estuary. Will go back.

Good service, lovely setting and tasty food. Beware of the seagulls!!! Highly recommend for casual, relaxed meal and friendly staff

Food is good, but the owner is rude and unwelcoming . He asked everyone excluding us how did they enjoy their meal. We didn't even get offered another drink or desert, after half hour we decided to leave as clearly no one was bothered. I assume it was because of my partner who is a person of colour as everyone else seated was white. Ain't nobody got time for racism. Thanks for spoiling our evening.
