Rotorua Canopy Tours

I'm terrified of heights, but this adventure had me feeling safe and secure the whole time, which made it a real adventure and not something embarrassing. :D

Check-in was simple - it's all point-&-click done via wireless tablets so your party can check in quickly - and then it was into the van and out to the scenic reserve.

Once there, you head off on your respective tours. The 'Original' is perfect for families and those new to ziplining, and the 'Ultimate' looks great for those with more tolerance for heights and thrills.

Despite my fear of heights, I fully plan to go back and do the Ultimate course, because seriously, the team here are absolutely brilliant at getting you to relax and enjoy the fun, with information and education mixed in with groan-worthy jokes and easy banter to keep your mind off the fact you are some distance above Terra Firma for much of your trip.

An astounding project, aimed more at funding conservation than padding the bank balance. Respectable, and absolutely on the MUST-DO list for the region!

As a New Zealander, I really enjoyed this attraction. You can tell the staff love their jobs and that they really care about NZ conservation - it's great to see they spend so much time on the tours educating international guests. The staff make you feel really comfortable even if you're slightly afraid of heights

it is so cool ziplining threw the forrest. and seeing all the sites. reasonably priced too. staff made me feel comfortable and reassured.
