Whakatane Branch claims to be open on Saturdays. Not open on Saturday 23/07/2016. Massive waste of time getting all the scrap onto the truck and having my guy waiting outside their Whakatane depot from 8am til 9.30, at which time, I cut my losses and moved on. Another shot with Macauley Metals Whakatane, will be a long time coming after this disappointing and wasteful experience.

Fabulous business. Drive in and offload old metal products for cash. The staff have been excellent every time I've been here - helping to unload and explaining how the costing works. Really impressed and so good for recycling and reusing instead of filling up dumps.

Good place to trade in any scrap metal you have lying around - good prices for copper
