How can you go wrong with Emmersons on tap and a $19 steak! The food here is phenomenal - there are loads of Tapas style dishes (try the Pork Belly), as well as a few 'dinner-style' meals. The Steak is a local favourite - served with chips and salad. Altas also does breakfasts and lunch - the Kumara Rosti is amazing and Im told the Eggs Bene is pretty good too. Its a small place that doesnt take bookings - so its best on a fine night/day when you can take advantage of their generous outdoor seating area. Inside can be a bit of a crush, but its part of the charm. Even the bathrooms are interesting - accessed through the bookcase... Dogs are welcome outside.

cosy and inviting. With a nice big fire place and a stunning view of the lakes. We enjoyed a hot chocolate each and really enjoyed our time.
