      This was not a good cafe experience. I ordered a takeaway coffee and a fluffy as well as some counter food. I had two kids with me and it was obvious to staff I was trying to manage them not touching the fire and staying out of the way of the serving staff, as the waiting space was very tight. The cafe was busy and the takeaway coffee and fluffy took over ten minutes to be made. The woman in front of me was waiting even longer. This is far too long for a takeaway coffee in any cafe, even at a busy time!!!
      Also, once I took a sip of my coffee, I burnt my mouth! It was the hottest coffee I've ever had made and I wasn't able to drink it for 5-10mins once I received it. If I'd still been in the cafe when I'd taken that first sip, I would've returned it. With kids who'd had to wait too long in a confined space, there was no way I was walking back to wait for another to be made!

      Loved this place! A true gem in the CBD. Our food was delicious. The atmosphere was great too —spacious, high ceilings, nice light and plants. Looking forward to coming back.

      Great little cafe in Pauatahanui. Decent food, friendly staff and good availability for seating and parking.
      Although their food is quite pricey it is quite tasty. Sausage Roll from the cabinet and Nachos are always my go to when I visit.
      Coffee from here is also really good.
      Ground Up does get quite busy on weekends especially between 10am - Midday after kids sport and they don't do bookings so if you are coming with a group you could take your chance but may pay to go somewhere else. Also does take a while for your food and coffee to arrive when they are busy.
      Still a good little local cafe to visit.

      I stopped here after exploring the local boardwalks. Staff were organised and service was fast. The cabinet selection was great, choosing just one sweet treat was difficult. I loved the outdoor seating and found the atmosphere very relaxing.
