Fat Pigeon Cafe

Stopped in over the beautiful sunny weekend & had great service even though the place was absolutely packed and fantastic food!

After hearing many great reviews then experiencing it for myself I was not impressed, I ordered a fruit smoothie which tasted mostly like coconut, then i ordered what looked like a nice pasta salad only to find it was bland & tasteless. Then I thought maybe something hot would be better & ordered curly fries only to find they were very very salty. I had also brought a slice to go with my drink & out of all of the 4 things I brought this was the only 1 thing out of 4 I enjoyed.

Super disappointed in my portion side of one waffle , unsure how big he kids would be! But was beautiful

Fat Pigeon is a great cafe to stop at on the way to Taranaki. The food is divine and the coffee is great too. The place appears clean apart from the deck and chairs in the outdoor covered area which needs to have the bird poo removed.

Popped in for a short stop. Very friendly atmosphere, nice and relaxed. Toni made a great coffee, and the scone was spot on.
