Parakai Springs

Bought some vouchers online and went the weekend just gone. Even though the weather wasnt the greatest (it was spitting, and some heavy showers throughout the day), as the outdoor pool is slightly heated, this wasnt an issue. Parakai is one of those pools where it doesnt matter if it rains, you're not gonna freeze the rest of the day as the pools are heated. Nice little cafe inside too, but takes a long time to get your food out.

Great to visit these hot pools in the autumn or early spring. They have a nice indoor hot pool available if you have very young children or the outdoor pool is cooler if it's a decent day. They have hydro slides here to for the kids to slide down on mats.

Spent the day here yesterday and it was lovely. Even with the cold weather and the wild wind, having a dip in the pool was nice because its heated, and it was relaxing. We didnt have the pressure of hundreds of kids as it was during school hours, but I can imagine how busy it can get here as the place is lovely. Theres a little cafe on site so you can order coffees and food, and they also have sheltered areas for everyone.

Remember staying here for a long weekend as a kid many years ago and it still brings back happy memories. Have taken our kids there many times and nowadays we stop in for a soak after spending the day 4wd on the coast. Love these pools and staff

Really enjoyed our visit to Parakai Springs. The hot pools are great fun for the whole whanau. The cafe is reasonably priced and you can take your own food and drinks which is a great option. The kids loved the slide pool. Well worth the money we paid!
