I would not bother with this place. The staff were ok, but definitely a little rude. Their food is fine if you are hungry but no good otherwise. Order myself a steak and cheese pie and found it to have little steak in it. It was just a mess of cheese and gravy. Ordered a milkshake too, was Ok but far too bland for my liking.

I had hot food from the cabinet as a quick lunch when passing through, and found the food to be old, dry and a bit rubbery to eat. It was not very nice at all.
not a lot of tables to sit as, as they were full of rubbish from previous customers which hadn't been cleared away.

Visited on Sunday 29th April on our way to Dunedin. We stopped in there to break the journey and have a coffee and cake. The coffee was hot and they had a good selection of cakes to choose from. You could also choose from a variety of pies, sandwiches, chips, burgers. anything you wanted to fill a hungry stomach.

Good friendly staff found them to be very helpful

The mutton pies were ok, just abit dry. The cafe needs a really good clean the 3 large cockroaches and blow flies near the table we were sitting at was not a good look.
