Never thought a small town museum would be any good, but was so pleasantly surprised when I visited as it is amazing!! It is up there with the museums in Auckland and Wellington, although is a much smaller place it still packs alot of exhibits and attractions! We went and saw the illusions exhibit which was great, although made me feel a little queezy so we went and explored the rest of the place after and I was amazed! Lots of history of new plymouth too which is special.

Sensational integrated Muesli, Archive and Library. Helps point the city more to the walkway which is good and is in a nice location with some nice cafes around, green space and the stream and ocean joining by the wind wand. Really worth the visit. Stunning building.

Definitely an experience to have by anyone living in or visiting the region. Interesting and creative, the children especially were thrilled to explore this wonderful place. The atmosphere is buzzing and really is a must see.

Our local library is impressive, large and full of many sources of information. I easily spend hours here using all the free resources. It’s ideal as it’s right in the middle of New Plymouth City so I can sit and relax while doing town jobs.
