Here in Taranaki, Pet Essentials New Plymouth is committed to helping you and your pet/s have the best food, advice and service possible. Because we stock a large range of foods and accessories, we are able to work with you, our customer to find a food, combination of foods or products to suit your pet, your lifestyle and your budget. With our large open format store it's hard to believe you are actually in a pet store. Our large, tidy, easy to clean pet enclosures keep all our pets free from germs and harms way. Behind glass, our enclosures are cleaned and disinfected every day and customers can be assured that the pets they purchase have been kept and given the best of care possible. All pets are sourced with a great deal of care to ensure only healthy ones are brought into the store with puppies usually having to pass two vet checks and are all sold being de-flead, de-wormed and having all vaccinations to date.

Perfect place to find all your pet and animal products. From crates to toys, there are loads of options to choose from. Our small dog requires a specific diet so we purchase her food here. Great prices and you know you are paying for quality. Great friendly staff.

Great store with a friendly staff. If you love your pet and don't want to feed it grocery store pet food that is mostly corn and filler then check this place out.

My little dog is the love of my day, so i always spoil him with extra treats i get from here. They have a lot to choose from and he just loves them. They have made it so easy to train him which is wonderful.

Picked up my kitten Lily from Pet Essentials. The staff provided great first time advice and also encouraged me to purchase essentials at low prices. Gave me information about local vets and services that I might need in the future.

I get my dog food from here, the dog food is fresh and the best food you can give to your pet. It costs more but i highly recommend it for the health of your pet. My dog loves their wet food and will now eat nothing else.
