      The second reason to visit Okato (first being Lahar Cafe) ... Okato Fish and Chips is easily the BEST fish and chips shop in Taranaki, possibly the lower North Island. Awesome staff, great menu choice and a clean, tidy operation. A Taranaki must do!

      Really nice feed here , I’ll grab a bite when I’m on my way to the beach & have fish & chips on the sand . It’s so fresh & good value !

      Fantastic fish and chip shop out the coast. Well worth the drive out of the city to enjoy delicious takeaways. They make amazing fruit pies here too which are perfect as a treat, they are quite a decent size so two people could share one. Fast friendly efficient service, highly reccomend the burgers!
