The Sands Fish & Chips

A good fish and chip shop with reasonable prices. They offer a loyalty card too. Just across the road from the beach so a nice place to get something to eat before or after a swim, on the beach or around Tahuna. Tidy little shop. There is a little area outside to eat as well under shade, as long as you don't mind some seagulls visiting!

One of the best chip shops I have visited in NZ. Very impressed. Not greasy feel. Batter was crispy. They had vinegar. They listened and didn't douse my order in salt.
Lots on offer on the board. Different fish options. Fish was pricier and included fish I hadn't heard of. But was well worth the money.
Spent a 4 day stay. Ate here 3 times! Mainly due to Easter food options but I'd go back again regardless

Really yummy fish and chips, quick service. Clean tidy place, great location. Unfortunately the music was playing way too loud out the front and so when my number was being called and I was sitting inside they kept yelling for my fathers attention as they didn't realise I had the ticket. It would have been much better if they just turned the volume down on the outside speakers so customers could hear them calling the order.

Great location, epic on a sunny summery afternoon. Prices are good, people - all good, parking lot around behind the complex. I would say the food was good but not great, but you couldn't expect too much for decent kiwi tucka. Very nice.
