Under The Red Verandah

A friend suggested we meet here for breakfast and as I was a visitor to Christchurch I had no idea what to expect. The cafe is in a suburban location which means there aren't any parking issues, plus they have their own dedicated car park on site. The cafe has quite a rustic vibe and a combination of indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu had plenty of choice and I really enjoyed my meal. The coffee is great too. And, judging by how busy it was, it's a gem that's far from hidden to the locals. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town and want to go somewhere just outside of the CBD.

Went there for breakfast, what a great little cafe on a sunny Sunday morning. Excellent outside area to enjoy a Sunday breakfast, great menu with a great choice choose from. Totally recommend this place.

Was very delighted that they were still going to cook me a full breakfast even though they were already cleaning up. Very friendly service. The vegetarian big breakfast is very yummy, and my mum thoroughly enjoyed her duck liver pate dish. Will return.
