Thai Orchid has been an iconic Thai restaurant in the South Island for over 30 years. As new owners we are bringing the original spices and freshness back to Thai Orchid. Over 60 years of traditional Thai Cooking experience in the kitchen ensures some of the best Thai food you will find anywhere.       Delicious Thai available for dine in or takeaway. Served hot and good flavours. Parking could be better but restaurant was really nice. Staff were friendly.

      We are regular visitors to Christchurch and live in Napier, where we have some pretty good Thai restaurants. But none of those restaurants come even close to the Thai Orchid in Christchurch in terms of food quality, service and value for money. Well presented, generous portions, and extremely friendly staff. We keep coming back again and again. And again! Highly recommended.

      I love Thai! I've often found it difficult to find thai food that is close to authentic as being in Thailand! Went here for lunch and it was yum, yum, yummy! Lovely owners, great food, great services, beautiful restaurant- would come back time and time again

      A great cheap and cheerful Thai offering in Riccarton, on site and street parking available and child friendly. I go early to avoid the rush and the food always comes out really fast, super friendly staff. Large plates and the option of taking leftovers home

      Great portion sizes which ment great value for money they are easy to share and all the dishes we had were very tasty staff are friendly
