Mumbaiwala Indian Street Kitchen

Was recommend here by friends. Was told could easily share a curry but didn’t find them big enough for two so recommend get one each. Garlic naan was amazing! Gutted they don’t do onion barges though. Not all staff could explain the menu as they are not written in your standard nz form like butter chicken etc so took a while to find a staff that could understand English and explain other than that great experience. Parking can be expensive

We arrived in CCCH and in the evening wandered around looking for somewhere to eat. The restaurants facing the Avon were packed and turning the corner we found Mumbaiwala. In we went and ordered a variety of dishes off the menu. It was delicious. Service was great and the staff very attentive. Would certainly return if we get to CCCH again.

The chilli scrambled eggs are to die for. It’s hard to make such an outstanding scrambled eggs but I’m very impressed! The staff are incredibly friendly too! Will definitely be coming back
