McDonald & Hartshorne Upholstery Ltd, formed in 2004 by Steve McDonald and Keith Hartshorne, began as a re-upholstery factory revamping furniture for our clients. We pride ourselves in producing outstanding results and specialise in antique furniture, deep buttoning, fabric upholstery and leather upholstery. As an extra service, Keith can visit you at your home or business with samples from some of New Zealand's leading tanneries and fabric suppliers. Our turn-around time is 5-10 days as we understand how important furniture is, but want to ensure the product we return is structurally sound once the old fabric has been removed and that the new covering is adhered to perfection. Springs and webbings are all checked and foam replaced as required so it not only looks as good as new, but feels it too. Together, Steve & Keith have over 60 years combined experience and their skilled craftsmen have been in the industry from 25 to 40 years. Post Canterbury earthquake, the retail store is no longer but we still have access to a large range of New Zealand made products at very competitive prices. Brands such as Danske Mobler, Jade Furniture, Kovacs Design plus the Norwegian made Stressless are products we can supply.
