Cafe Valentino

Great food with a great selection of pizza and pasta...the wine selection is good but had sold out/were out of stock of what we wanted but goes to show its popular ;)

This was our must go to place whenever we went to Christchurch but our last experience there was very poor! The meal was amazing as always but the service really let them down. People on either side had eaten and left by the time our meal arrived, and that was after we found a waitress to ask. We asked for another wine glass as my husband decided to have a wine, but before we could pour him a wine another waitress grabbed it off the table and walked off with it. Has it changed ownership?

Outstanding selection of Italian dishes and great choices on kids menu also. The waitstaff were very attentive and great with our young ones! The water bottle on our table was constantly being refilled which is a plus. Stunning display of signed posters on the walls and lots of history. Definitely a must if you are looking for good value meals.

We were passing through Christchurch, decided to have dinner at our old favourite restaurant, Cafe Valentino, and it did not disappoint.

Great food but can get really noisy in the restaurant when it is full - we couldn't hear people more than one seat away.
