The Station Cafe Bar & Restaurant

We LOVED the station. Great breakfast bagels, coffee, snacks, pizza, beer, patio. Have probably enjoyed every meal and atmosphere there; remarkable that one place can hit the mark wether you're craving a great place to work in the morning, catch-up with friends after work, grab a quick bite and a coffee. Can't recommend it enough!

We came to the station because we were stayong at the Chateau and the restaurant seemed too pricey and pretentious.We had a car and found the Station easily enough. It was a cold night and we were the only diners. We decided to skip the mains and have three entres. These were prawn, mushroom and pasta. They were all elegant, tasty and resonably priced. The service was friendly and efficient. A very pleasant evening.

What a gorgeous tucked away spot! Three dined here for breakfast while on holiday and very generous breakfast meals! Indoor outdoor flow made it nice for that fresh colder crisp morning in north Canterbury! Coffee and food was delicious and well recommended!!

The Big Brekky was huge and very yummy. The coffee was perfect . A real little gem to find. It has old photos around the walls showing history of the area. Well worth the visit.

We had lunch here on recommendation of a friend! We were glad we went. The lunch was really yummy and very reasonably priced too! I had the lasagne and my husband had a pie and chips! It was a very cold day and there was a lovely wood burning stove which made the place very cosy! The staff were very friendly and chatty! Highly recommend!
