The Thirsty Whale Bar & Restaurant

Great place during the day to relax and have something to eat. Not a big fan of it during the night though

They have decent food here - I thought it was a bit over priced for what you get though. Staff were great and very attentive and the atmosphere was really nice here.

A great place for a family dinner or a seaview drink :)

Have only ever been at night and its definitely not the classiest place in Hawkes Bay.
Bar staff will continue to serve drinks to whoever will pay regardless of their intoxication level, some of the female bar staff blatantly flirt with customers and encourage male customers to buy them alcoholic drinks while serving to make money (I've witnessed this and can confirm that they in fact consume the alcoholic beverages while working......not sure responsible service of alcohol rules are being upheld when the staff are under the influence themselves) and some staff dress choices would be more suited to a stripclub.
Womens toilets have been absolutely filthy on every occasion I've used them.
Sadly there's not many other choices for a dance and late night out locally so unfortunately I'll most likely find myself there again in more than one occasion.

Beautiful views sitting outside of the inner harbour. Good meals but are more on the expensive side. Good place for a drink and dance in the weekend.
