Countdown Supermarkets

this shop has what we need and is our weekly grocery stop. it has some basic fruits however we go and buy mostly from farmer shops anyway.
What we really like is the seafood corner and there are often great deals on. Also the asian corner has the basic items we need and my wife loves it.

Love the size of this supermarket and the layout. Only problem is when you get to check out there aren't enough staff on. So you end up waiting so long!! Would be nice to have even a few selfservice checkouts like they do in countdown gisborne

This countdown lacks in comparison to thecountdown right next door which still makes no sense to me as to why they're like that. This one has barely any product with shelves half empty, staff aren't enthusiastic to be there at all and it shows in the presentation of the place

Always low on stock never have stock in when stuffs on special

I like this supermarket as it is smaller and quieter than the others. There is no self serve check out though and sometimes there is quite a wait at the checkouts
