      Uncle Mike¿s BBQ is steeped in the American tradition slow-smoking meat at a low temperature, using a combination of fire and smoke to coax the flavor and tenderness from select cuts of meat. This tradition began in the American West as a way of preserving otherwise tough cuts of meat, meant to help sustain cowboys on the trail. BBQ has come a long way since and evolved into an entire subculture with distinct regional styles, intense competitions, and fiercely guarded recipes and techniques. Uncle Mike¿s is proud to carry on proud passion of Kansas City-style BBQ ¿ right here in the heart of New Zealand.

      Does what it says on the tin really good eatery for getting in and out and getting a slap up meal along the way. Delicious meats, takeaways chips and Chinese food... real smorgasbord well worth it in my honest estimation.

      Fantastic place to eat, food was amazing and one of the ribs dish was even imported from Chicago! The decor was fitting for a ribs restaurant and the price of the food was spot on. Staff were very nice, after meeting Uncle Mike he showed us his smoker that he had to take half the kitchen wall apart to get it in! If you are looking for some ribs or BBQ meat you can't go past Uncle Mikes City BBQ.
