Riddiford Hotel & Restaurant

Offers very authentic Chinese food (yum cha) here. Food was amazing and great service and atmosphere of the restaurant. Recommending this place to my family and friends.

Yum cha is the best we could find in Wellington region (trust me, we tried every single restaurants that serve yum cha in Wellington). However the service sometimes is Jon existence. The staff sometimes just ignored us and only serve their regular customers. We always remind ourselves we are there for the food, not the service. We stayed at their hotel long long time ago and it was quite run down, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The food here is always the most authentic Chinese in NZ and the best Peking duck. This place is attracting the big crowds, so you might like to book so you dont miss out.

Food is fantastic, authentic and delish (dumplings and Chi chuan chicken my favs) and atmosphere is quite nice too. Plenty of on street parking whenever I've come here. Prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity.

Appalling service! Got yelled at by the owner just because we asked why the customers arrived after us got seated to the restaurant first. We told them we are not going back. Avoid if you can!
