Hutt Hospital

I had a Caesarean section at Hutt Hospital, I found the surgeon and Anaesthetist and all other medical staff to be wonderful, they made me feel at ease and did a wonderful job looking after me, the staff were all very professional and expressed great concern and care for me and my baby. The hospital midwives were equally amazing with my care after and I can’t thank them enough for all they did for us. The only disappointing thing was that the hospital was full and we were told they were discharging us after 3 days, I didn’t feel ready for that as it was my first baby, but we didn’t have a choice, I feel like they could have managed the way they told us to leave a bit better, it was an unexpected, abrupt and rude manner in which the Clinical Manager conducted herself, she didn’t show the same compassion as her staff which was disappointing.

While all the staff are good and do their best there are just not enough of them.

ED staff are good. Wait times are ok.
