Amazing 5 Chinese Restaurant

This isn't a greasy spoon, but a good quality Chinese restaurant. Good quality food, nice sized portions. The service is hit and miss, hence not the highest review.

Unfortunately had 2 of my worst dining out experiences here. Very average Asian food, the kind where you cant help feeling like everything tastes like everything else? The last occasion I was here I was honestly abused by staff for asking for my vegetarian sister-in-law's meal to be replaced as the one they had brought out clearly contained pork chunks, which we didn't order. Perhaps a breakdown in communication? in any case I walked out of the restaurant (after paying anyway) feeling ripped off and embarrassed at the scene that was made. Much better places to go in Lower Hutt than here.

We usually go here when we have cravings for Orange Chicken and Yang Chow Fried Rice. Their Crackling Roast Pork is also very good. We also occasionally eat lunch here as their lunch menu is very affordable.

Great decor and nice vibe at this restaurant. Wide range of food options though a bit pricey for me personally. Still liked it overall and would recommend it.

Dined here on my frinds birthday loved the sea food fried rice and prawn dish & their crackling pork is awesome too . love the atmosphere and staff are friendly too .
