This property consists of about half dozen individual chalets. All at ground level, with 2 or 3 steps to the door, and parking at the door. My chalet was a large room with bed and settee and corner kitchenette, and small bathroom. Everything was very clean and in good condition. I had a part lake view at the front and beautiful greenery at the back. This chalet is on the edge of town and very quiet and peaceful. It is in walking distance for the Church of the Good Shepherd and the dog statue. But you probably need to drive to the village centre which has a good selection of shops and restaurants , but many close early in the evening. The owners was very pleasant and helpful.

We are repeat guests at Parkhead, we have stayed in the lake view studio units & the Lakefront House. This is quite likely the best value accommodation in Tekapo. Absolute lakefront in a super quiet spot with amazing views. Just walk across the road to the lake. The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfy & the owners are friendly & helpful. Best of all the price is affordable. Highly recommended!!
