- Since we started selling spa pools many years ago it became apparent that the industry was one that appealed to me as before I got into it I was a tax accountant for the IRD. As a small side business I only started to bring in a couple of pools at a time, with TradeMe being my main platform to sell the spas on, the first models I brought in were 180 Jets with 6 Pumps a whopping 2.4m2 with waterfalls and LEDs, speakers etc. After selling and delivering a few spa pools, the love for the job increased, being outdoors, lifting heavy objects, helping people get them into place and driving around the north island. All this gave me the realization that making people smile with a fantastic spa instead of calling them about the tax the owe, was something that would pull me out of a depressed state of living and enjoy my working life more than ever before. The daily office, suit and tie theme was great for 10+ Years, however groundhog day strikes at the same desk, same routine, same scenery, same people, however like everything, there are pros and cons, but for me personally, designing and delivering a spa pool that will make people smile is tops for me.
