Urban Soul Karaka

Stopped off at this vibrant cafe en route from Hamilton to Auckland Airport. An impressive range of cabinet and counter top food is beautifully presented in addition to an excellent selection of dishes on the menu. The service is of a high standard with courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Our food was fresh, well presented and most flavoursome. The fair trade coffee by Ozone coffee roasters is superb and the barista exhibits a high standard in serving the coffee.

The Manuaku branch is one of my favorite Cafes and I was super excited for this to open closer to home. It was an utter disappointment.

Coffee was burnt to an undrinkable level, food from the cabinet tasted stale. Our scone also did not come with butter, upon asking the waitress she seemed shocked.

If you want a good experience I would recommend visiting their Manukau branch

Good location on great place for the kids as has a kids area. Brunch menu is great.

Visited with grand-daughters during school holidays and the Cafe was very busy on a rainy day. Food from menu and cabinet offerings appealed as fresh, of good quality, and delivered good value. Coffee was of good standard and delivered as requested after completion of meals from the breakfast menu. Popular with locals as evidenced by virtually full patronage, and we were fortunate to get pre-lunch seating plus reasonable service throughout.

With visually impressive food display cabinets and a chic cafe decor, Urban Soul Karaka offers friendly service but service times with food and coffee fulfilment leaves a lot to be desired considering how many staff there are, front of house.

Good coffee nonetheless and well worth another visit!
