      Arrived without a reservation and they happily managed to find us a table as it is a very busy place and it pays to make a reservation. Had the whitebait in egg fritter which was delicious. Wish i had ordered the large as the small was just not big enough for me. The salad was also tasty and fresh. Really nice quick dinner and beer. Neat interior, great view of sea and mountains until the fog rolled in.

      This hotel must have one of the best views in NZ but that isn't all. The food and drinks are great too, plus friendly, efficient service. If you're in Kaikoura, you should make a note for a quality meal here for sure.
