Dunlea Products from Kaikoura is a success story, due in no small part to the manufacture of its well-known Mudgway boat trailers. Dunlea Products purchased the Christchurch-based Mudgway trailer business in 1999 and relocated the operation to its base in Kaikoura. The business is split into three main divisions - Mudgway trailers, engineering and retail. The engineering division services the community with general engineering work. We manufacture Dunlea farm gates, which are sold throughout the South island and are fully galvanised and made from high-tensile steel. A fully equipped engineering workshop services farming, fishing and tourist industries and there is a steadily growing market for farm gates and utility decks.
