      I love Spotlight. They have an amazing range of fabrics, curtains and baking equipment. I always find what I need. However the Hastings store in particular needs a bit of work. The last few times I’ve been here, the staff have not been friendly at all. Most don’t greet you, don’t say a word when they’re serving you, and if I’ve asked for help with something I’ve gotten “you need to go to the other side of the store and ask someone in that area” rudely. Have also heard staff talking about their personal lives whilst I’ve been trying to shop and it’s offputting. Regardless, when I’m in Hawke’s bay I’ll continue to shop here as their selection is great.

      I have always enjoyed roaming in this store to find what I want such a fantastic variety. Material for clothing or toys or craft. All sorts of craft options. The material I was looking for I discovered had a soiled mark in a corner, when I told the staff member she was receptive and discounted the fabric price, and was being helpful in giving me a price for a quarter meter and a half meter. A friendly smile through the whole sale. Brightly lit store and lots of parking. Wheel chair friendly.

      Great store in the middle of Hastings. Plenty of car parking. Always worth popping in to see what is in store. I always stock up on Halloween items a day or 2 before 31st Oct to make the most of the 75% clearance discount. Staff are approachable and friendly. Great range of fabrics
