Birdwoods Gallery & Sweet Shop

Came here recently on a trip to Hawke’s bay. This cafe is set in lovely gardens with an outdoor art/sculpture gallery and lovely views. The food was delicious, I got the Ruben sandwich. Drinks were lovely, everything was reasonably priced and the best part was the lovely old fashioned lolly store! Lots of bonbons and other sweets that I (overindulged) in

A cafe and gallery set in beautiful gardens. A spacious setting with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. A selection of menu and cabinet food, with lots of sweet treats, 'just like grandma used to make.' A particularly great spot for morning or afternoon tea, with your selection of treats delivered on a tray with delicate teacups. Plenty of car parking and an old fashioned sweet shop next door.

Great open space out the back for the kids to run around including some sculptures and a tree swing. The lolly shop has all your favorite old school lollies and is a real novel idea. Kids love it here and adults a like.

Such a great little place to stop into. Lovely little lollie shop. It was a shame it wasn't icecream season. Lovely art gallery and gardens too.

Absolutely wonderful place for the family or even just coffee/tea for two. Wonderful setting, lots of sculptures and very unique artwork out back, do be sure to see. Plenty of room for kids to run around and play. Amazing gift store inside, large variety of international gifts and handmade crafts. Old fashion Sweet shop available for kids of all ages. Meals are always lovely and served with a warm, comforting and elegant style. Highly Recommend to all
