Wai ariki Farm Park

We went here last week and it was lovely! So quiet and so hands on with young deer, goats, ducks and chooks following us around. Our 2 year old loved it and we will definitely be going back.

Very cool farm park where lots of the animals are roaming free and you can get right up close to them. You can buy animal food to feed them too. Lovely cafe with good coffee, and plenty of seating outside so you can watch the animals as you enjoy your food & drinks. Play area for children too. Plenty to see and do here.

Great hands on farm park in Hanmer. Kids were able to get right up close to the sheep, deer, chickens and wallabies. Nice cafe on site, with good coffee. Animal feed available so you can feed the animals. Great set up, kids loved it.

The animals are great here. Lots of variety for a country farm zoo. The kangaroos were our favourite. We got some cute pictures on the red tractor.

The food was delicious, inventive and carefully crafted, and the service was attentive but not intrusive. It is on the expensive side, but well worth it.
