      Adriana's caffe & ristorante was established in the eighties as Hamilton's first authentic Italian cuisine restaurant. Named after the original owner, (Adriana - a vivacious and talented Italian lady), Adriana's has been trading successfully from its Alma Street premises in the CBD for 18 years and is proudly the oldest restaurant in the city. Renowned for its unique and intimate ambience, its level of personalised service and its consistently authentic Italian cuisine, Adriana's remains a popular first-choice for discerning Hamiltonians, the many international visitors to the city, including many patrons from Auckland and other regional centres.       We were visiting Hamilton for the World Rugby 7s and searched TripAdvisor for a great restaurant for the night before the event. Luckily we found and chose Adrianna's! We were warmly welcomed when we arrived even though we were early for our reservation. We had an aperitif whilst we perused the menu at our leisure. This restaurant offers BYO so we asked our waitress to open our bottle of red wine whilst we waited. We both chose the FILETTO al FUNGHI and were extremely pleased that we did. The steak was very tender and tasty and cooked to perfection. The sauce was delicious and there was plenty of it! My wife had the salad and I had fresh seasonal vegetables. Both were again excellent.
