Country Cottage Cafe

Lovely homely cafe, yet with city-standard coffee. Great home-style cooking including good old Mince on Toast in winter. Real food in a warm and inviting setting. Caters well for gluten-free.

Great coffee and they have the best scones. Nice and warm and friendly staff.

I'm torn between 3.5 and 4 stars for this cafe. They have great coffee, excellent food, and a lovely inviting atmosphere with nice clean amenities. Last week the log-burner was cranking beautifully making for a real inviting Southland stop over.
My only negative is the time factor as it was quite a long wait for our coffee ...but then admittedly, there was a small group of us who all arrived at once.

Love the hot chocolates. Nice food and cute decor. Staff friendly.

I had a really nice quiche from here, the egg was so fluffy and delicious in it. Definitely recommend.
