Craic, or "crack" as it is pronounced, is a traditional Irish term for banter, fun, entertainment and enjoyable conversation. So sit back, relax, and enjoy great food and drink. And of course, great Craic! Welcome to The Craic Irish Tavern in the Octagon, our A Graded Kitchen produces menus that focus on using the best local produce with an emphasis towards seafood and game, infused with Irish favourites and offering something for everyone. The Craic offers both a fantastic selection of international and NZ beers, wines, spirits and whiskey's, as well as an extensive menu for brunch, lunch and dinner. We're open 7 days a week - 10am till late from Monday to Friday, and 8am till late on Saturday and Sunday. Give us a call or drop in today!

Great atmosphere when it gets busy. The fish and chips and calamari were really good. Really good for a bit of fun. The drinks aren't overpriced and it's a nice place to go for a few casual drinks. Like their theme nights too. Looking forward to st Patrick's day. The staff are always friendly and kind .Great customer service.

I've been there over 5 times. I really really love the wedges. The bartenders cook chips straight after we ordered, so we can always eat freshly made chips. It's so delicious. Also the bartenders are very kind and friendly.
The atmosphere is different at lunch time and night. It's one of the fun things to experience. You'll definitely love it here.
