Located within the historic Speight¿s Brewery the Ale House offers a wide range of food and beverages. The Speight¿s Brewery remains a popular and lively part of Dunedin attracting both locals and visitors. All meals have been designed to match one of our fine tap ales. Our venue is great for groups, families and those wanting to enjoy the game on the big screen. We are open for lunch and dinner with kid¿s menus available and a catering service for large groups. Many of our meals can be altered to suit dietary requirements. Come in and join us at The Speight¿s Ale House in Dunedin. Our award winning beer and hearty value for money menu will not disappoint!

Best steaks in town, massive plates very good value for money! The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

One of my favourite restaurants in Dunedin. Beautiful food, great atmosphere and service. Highly recommend this, you will not be disappointed!

Thanks to post covid tourism we were the only ones on the tour. Our tour guide from Edinburgh tailored the entire tour spiel to entertain our 3 year old, which was awesome. Loved seeing the difference between the old and the new factory. Tasting room was our own private party. Affordable drinks and merch to take home too!

We had a lovely dinner here last night. Warm atmosphere and delicious fish and chip dinner followed by dessert. Lovely service and right near our accommodation so we simply walked here last night.

Nice to have a cold fresh ale in the town it was made. Delicious, refreshing. Clean environment. Nice seating.
