      Recently went here on a "mystery weekend", booked into a "Superior Room".
      Room was small and view from the window was scaffolding, commercial roofs, and The Warehouse.

      Pretty central city, above the Dunedin Casino (we didn't hear any noise from this establishment though).

      We ordered room service, the pork belly arrived cold and with a sauce on that we asked to put "put on the side", crumbed fish fingers still had a lot of skin on them - not the nicest.

      Strangely in the bathroom, the toilet is on the same surface as the shower, so if you have a shower then use the WC you would get wet feet! No bath in our room.

      On site parking is $13 per day. The bed was very hard, can't get most Sky channels either.

      Little disappointing - oh and when I went to use the Yellow Pages to find a food takeaway store their version in the room was 2014! So I had to go and ask for an up to date directory which was delivered to my room later that day.

      If going there I would recommend to check what the view is as we were expecting something a bit better from a "superior" room.

      Oh something nice is that they actually provide you with a little bag to take your half used toiletry items away with you.

      Some of our family members from the US recently stayed here and were very impressed with the quality of their stay. The rooms were large, clean and had a good view of the harbour. They were able to park their rental car in the carpark under the hotel.

      It is always a pleasure to stay at the Scenic Hotel in Dunedin. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious. The rooms are set at a nice temperature for this time of the year.

      Stayed here for the weekend, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The young man that serviced us our coffees at breakfast was absolutely lovely and had a great conversation with him. Parking is out on the street or you can pay a little extra for their secure parking.
