Ritchies Transport

First and LAST time we will consider using Ritchies Coachline services.
I booked two buses to transport 100 students to camp.
The manager John spoke with me and reassured me that he had plenty of buses available to transport the students on this date.

I rang TWICE to confirm this booking (one phone called was made a day out from the booking just to be sure) and I ALSO received an email confirmation.

9pm the NIGHT BEFORE the event I received a cancellation email for the journey at 10.30am the following day. This left me under 12 hours to arrange alternative transport for an event I had been planning for months. Most of this time was also negligible as people were asleep.

I was left with no option but to find volunteer drivers to get 100 students to camp - an unsafe stunt, with the responsibility left on my shoulders if things were to go wrong.

I rang up while at camp to see if Ritchies were able to provide the trip back home for students - as I had not received a cancellation for this. The reply we received was something along the lines of ' yeah nah, sorry mate, we can't do Friday either' (again - this was just under 20 hours of warning). I doubt they would have told us this unless we rung up.

Ritchies was unprofessional and only interested in the big buck coming in from cruise ships. Not at all interested in supporting the local community. Upon writing this review I received a phone call notifying me that Ritchies cancelled 12 buses for a local high school during this time aswell.

Great service there . I got back my lost book from the office and i am very grateful that they have a special lost and found service there

Don't trust them. They caused so much stress and damage to our small business. We booked a charter bus 6 months ago and one day before the tour they cancelled.
