A little outdated and pricey but gives an old school authentic film experience vibe which is cool.

It's a great, quiet cinema, and sometimes you get the whole cinema to yourselves.

Love the mix of box office hits and stranger arty films all in one place. Staff are always friendly and there is plenty of leg room which is always appreciated. I love the building and that I can appreciate the architecture at the same time as going to a film.

Clean, warm and relatively comfortable. Good big screens with visability from all seats. The popcorn is the best of the theatres in the area. A good place to take the kids to the movies.

One of the two major venues in Dunedin, Rialto has been a mainstay cinema of the city for over 20 years. They offer all the hottest and newest titles, and also offers obscure titles as well as an ample selection of International Film Festival movies when the event comes around once a year. Candy bar is stocked with usual fare of drinks, popcorn and sweets. General ticket pricing is a bit dearer than others. Given its age, the facilities are quite dated, and seats are not as comfortable (but decent) as those offered by their competitor.
