Such a fun and inspiring place. So much to do and look at. The playground is the perfect size for my two little people and a fluffy on the way out is a must.

A great place for a bush walk. Many native birds to see. Lots of tracks for all fitness levels. We take our 2 year old often

Orokonui Ecosanctuary is a conservation triumph. The animals are wonderful & easily spotted. There's a fairly decent track network, it took us four hours to walk most of the tracks, just missing one little branch. In that time we saw takahe, Otago skinks, tui, bellbirds, fantails, South Island robins, tomtits, tuataras, eastern rosellas, kaka and grey warblers.

One of a kind experience, lovely and peaceful and you can get in a decent hike in if you're keen, or a coffee at the café. Vibrant & flourishing, always changing and improving too.
