Governors is an absolute Dunedin icon. It has been there as long as anybody can remember, tucked in a character little building that faces out to the picturesque historic Knox church across the road. It has great coffee, and while the menu/staff have changed a lot of over the years it is usually pretty decent. A cosy little spot to catch up with friends, and if you enjoy napkin-doodling, you may even get to pin your own work of art on their napkin wall.

Nice wee cafe to have some lunch and play board games with friends. The mocka bowls are always a favourite.
