Had dinner with a small group for a work dinner one weekday night. Food was amazing!!!! But their service let them down. It seemed any question we asked annoyed them and they couldn’t be bothered. Wont rush back but wouldn’t say never return.

We ordered the highly rated ricotta hot cakes and also the truffle mushroom. The savoury dish was clearly better, we enjoyed the mushroom, pumpkin purée although I wished the cheese was tastier.

Came to Joyful restaurant with a group and really enjoyed the experience! The portion sizes were large and so made sharing with each other easy. I especially enjoyed the fish ball soup. The staff were lovely and our food came out to us super fast. There's heaps of seating in the restaurant too. I did find it hard to find a park though. Overall great experience!

The food and drinks are great. The best Chinese restaurant in Christchurch. Highly recommend!
