Indian Pearl Restaurant

Just a small place, but if you try the menu its exceptional, wide range of typical indian food for reasonable price, friendly cheerful staffs.

Ok so on calling this restaurant at 4.45 pm to order our meal the owner advised they were not open till 5 pm. Though he said that he would start my food and ready for pick up by 5.05 pm. So I headed down with the BF who waited in the car. I went in at 5.05 pm the owner said not quite ready ... so I paid anyway and sat to wait. Now this wait just went on and on for 50 mins. I had to keep advising the Boyfriend update though he wasn't very happy at all. We would have left if I hadn't already paid them. Now finally after a huge wait.... the man I saw had in his hands my order. I thought finally !! then the phone rang and my order got put down for a further 5 mins as he chatted in Indian on the phone. That you would think was the last straw... but I'm afraid the Food was terrible... watery and bland and naans poor quality!! so upset. I have yet to find that perfect butter in Christchurch ...

fresh ingredients and cooking it with passion and love. The spices are pungent and flavourful, the naan bread is incredible.

Really delicious authentic food with great flavours. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Great use of space. Very busy in weekends but service is fast and you don't have to wait long for a table. Food is a interesting combination of flavours. Delicious.
