Welcome to The Garden Restaurant - we are a buffet restaurant that provides delicious Asian and local favourite meals in the heart of Christchurch City. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, we are part of the Garden Hotel Complex and can also provide breakfast for those staying in the hotel. Our menu soups, fried food, international cuisine, seafood and carvery - but what we are really known for are our mouth-watering desserts! Be sure to try our hot date sticky pudding with custard sauce or the famous New Zealand pavlova. Our relaxed and friendly environment is perfect for any occasion - from a family meal out to an intimate meal for two. Our lounge bar, adjacent to the restaurant, is fully licensed and provides a wide range of wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. A very good buffet restaurant!! Will defiantly be back with the family. Nice friendly safe and food was nice and fresh

Food always looks fresh, hot and delectable. Service is always pretty good - although they do leave you to your own devices a bit (which isn't a bad thing).
The decor itself is nothing to rave about but once you have paid your $26.00 per adult fee - inside you get access to about 3 different types of soup/chowder + breads, lasagna, mac & cheese, chicken wings, BB pork ribs, assorted Chinese meals, a plethora of salads, roast pork, roast lamb, salmon, baked fish, sauces and gravies, vegetables and a dessert bar which comes with it's own snow-cone ice-cream machine along with cheesecake, pavlova, apple pie, lolly cake.
Essentially the place has pretty much something for everyone and in a place that lets you eat whatever you like and however much you like for your one off fee - to truly enjoy the place, it's best to go in on an empty stomach.

Best buffet in town, very reasonably priced, had s couple of birthday parties here and lovely private rooms available huge range food is always fresh and hot can't wait to go again
