The Cranford Ale House was established in October 2016, with a vision of providing excellent quality service and top quality food. Whether you are looking for a meal the whole family can enjoy or place to call your local on a Saturday night we have you covered. We provide a large restaurant area and separate bar complete with 18 Gaming machines and T.A.B. You can cosy up by the fire in those cooler nights or soak up the sun in our beautifully landscaped courtyard. Find us at 305 Cranford Street, Christchurch. We have a great atmosphere for you to enjoy dinner or a few drinks **The Cranford Ale House** is located in St Albans, Christchurch. We're known for our friendly staff and our great food. We went with a large group expecting mediocrity but were pleasantly surprised but the extensive menu and then the quality of each meal, Deffinatly worth a visit

We visited here on Sunday due to the Grab One '$40 for $20' deal and were pleasantly surprised...IL be honest on first glance the place seemed pretty unimpressive as from the outside it looked very small and old timey and the inside was much the same, reminiscent of a town pub but we soon found it added to the charm of the place....we were seated in a tucked away alcove with a few other tables and found some unique decor, compromising of a wall with plants sticking out from little baskets and another wallpapered with images of books that almost made a convincing bookshelf, it was quite quirky. The menu was decently priced and full of options, the steak Sammy I had absolutely delicious! We saw the food get served from a country bistro style booth and country music played which added to the whole vibe...I heard a long forgotten song which made me smile. I could also see a bustling outdoor area which I'm sure is perfect for a late afternoon drink in the sun but I stayed away as I was sober lunching haha. I really enjoyed this eccentric wee place And will be back again!

Great local place to go, especially after work on a Friday. Good range of bar snacks, pizza's and main menu items.

Always good food here, something for everyone is the staff are friendly too. Good family place to eat.

This is a great bar to have decent bar meals at very kid friendly and not to pricey heaps parking
