We Really Mean It, When We Put A Sign Outside That Reads "Friendly Staff And Good Food". We don't have to write "great selection of beers", because that's what we're already known for. 18 Beers On Tap! At Brewers Arms Merivale, you'll be pleasantly surprised to have a nice quiet meal in a pub environment, plus get Table Service. Yes in a Bar! Obviously, Brewers Arms is not a place for fine dining but certainly fills the gap for a reasonable price. Our guests enjoy the overall experience here, to get grilled food and friendly staff in a pub/bar environment. What else would you look for, to have a great time. No Pokies or Pool Tables here, but we do provide a Heated outside area with Gas fire, and Big Screen TV's. So, if you're after a good beer or 3, stonegrill food and having a good time, then pay Brewers Arms a visit. We're on 117 Papanui Rd, Merivale.

We had the beef fillet on the stone which was great and tasteful, better without the sauces which aren't anything special (plum, barbecue and English mustard) apart from the garlic butter which adds a nice touch.The staff was super SUPER rude! Not a single smile, rough words when taking our order and we never heard the words thank you, not even upon payment when he took the money and just turned his back.

Wednesday night steak night top food top service what more could you want. If you live in the area your fortunate.worth to try.

Great place to take the whole family, there really is just a nice vibe to the place. I like to sit outside by the river with a beer and some of their curry chips, kids love the stone grill option.

Great local pub, always a good mix of people. I haven't tried the food but nice selection of food and plenty of seating.
