Avonhead tavern

Food is good but has become a little overpriced recently. The steak seems to always come out medium when asking for rare. But the vibe is always good and the staff are awesome. Love the fried chicken burger!

Haven't been here for years, but did visit last weekend and was surprised at the change. Was the perfect place on a wet afternoon. Cozy, friendly staff and the food was really good. I'll definitely return a lot sooner next time!

I ordered the mushroom sauce Porterhouse with chips and salad, my fiance' ordered the Angus triple stack burger and the garlic bread. Honestly ? The food was average. The garlic bread was good. The steak was medium and not medium rare, my fiance's burger had too much mustard

Great pub insituated right in Avonhead, on site with one good horse restaurant, a Henry's wholesaler and x golf. Perfect for watching sports, and not too badly priced, I pay 12.50 for a jug of Speights while watching the super rugby, note there is usually a good crowd in for the rugby so if you want a seat, you need to be a little early
